Ponder Fair’s pet, Dave, greets site site visitors all over store. Certainly one of Dave’s favorite spots is sitting into the stack of shopping baskets.

Lawrence locals are very knowledgeable about the variety of kitties on Massachusetts Street ponder Fair gets the orange tomcat Dave, Chardonnay listens to documents at Love Garden appears, the Raven Book shop has Dashiell and Ngaio, and Dinah-Mite life at the Dusty Bookshelf. Many people just consider them as adorable workers, but 10-year-old Lorelei Dunn desired to feature them in a zine.

Lorelei published and illustrated her zine: “Paw Pals.” Based on the Milwaukee Zine Festival, a zine is described as a “magazine-like” self-publication. Zines could be about any such thing from politics to humor to art, but Lorelei’s zine details letters involving the kitties from the stores on Massachusetts Street. Read more
